Curb bit
- Length in the mouth, 6.3 cm
- Total length, 7.5 cm
- Width, 8.9 cm
With a curb bit, the bit is in the horse's mouth and the bar is on the side of the mouth. The reins are attached to this bar, in this way the bit works like a lever. As a result, the curb bit works very precisely and is mainly used in higher dressage.
When this bit is used in combination with a loose ring snaffle, a double bridle is created. Double bridles are mainly used in higher dressage from level Z. With this bridle the the rider rides with two bits and two reins.
